Gingham will forever be one of those prints that just makes me crave summer- picnics, sunshine, lemonade, the whole works! I picked up this DVF gingham set matching top and shorts and have yet to wear them both together, but instead have been pairing them as separates. We arrived towards the end of the day, just as golden hour started to hit and the crowds dwindled down. Luckily we had our blanket to lay out along the vineyards, which ended up being a beautiful and relaxing spot. This Topshop dress is the epitome of summertime and feels so feminine and fresh especially when paired with these mini wedges and raffia kate spade bow clutch. I also love this off the shoulder one and this bright floral one that both give that effortless, happy feeling when you slip them on.

The whole family is meeting up with my parents, sister and her family to board the Disney Cruise to Alaska! Photo Credit: Disney Cruise Line. We have been on several family cruises to Alaska on various cruise lines but with 5 kids under 12, we thought this year we would try Disney!

I am so excited to layer this on for an excursion or a walk into town. And being in Alaska, you think lumberjack chic, so a plaid button down is a must! Most likely, your excursions will include a few small or big hikes through the wilderness and maybe even through snow! Regular running shoes are ok, but for all weather terrain, hiking boots are more suitable.

I got these Sorel rain boots recently and am so excited to travel in them. They are waterproof and comfy! And last but not least, a rain jacket is another top priority wardrobe essential for this trip! Love her outfits, so effortless and chic!

I hope I look as happy and relaxed on my upcoming trip too! It is a little different because we will have a full house — complete with 6 adults and 5 kids! There is always a bit of chaos, a lot of fun and adventure sprinkled with a few meltdowns that make the memories that much more unforgettable!

Julia’s Style – Gal Meets Glam

When I visited Alaska, it was during a cruise. I kept thinking about how it would be different to visit on our own, and what it would be like. Turn on your JavaScript to view content. Go with friends, rent a car and explore. Alaska is massive but you should still try and see as much as you can. Leave room in your schedule so that if you see something beautiful you can pull over to the side of the road and admire it. Thank you so much to Julia for sharing some of her insight about Alaska.
